A very good copy of the 1st US edition of this popular novel from the 1930s. Dust Jacket: cream coloured illustrated paper with black lettering to all faces and line drawn black and white illustrations, by Donald McKay, to front and spine; in very good condition, just a small amount of loss from lower spine, otherwise clean, bright and intact; all four corners of flaps are clipped, there may have been a price at the top of the front flap but this is not clear; has been in protective covering for some time. Cover: navy quarter leather over bright blue cloth covered boards, with gilt lettering to spine, cloth slightly faded at top but generally very clean and bright; few signs of shelf wear. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; probably sold uncut but very neatly hand cut; few marks, what there is are possibly a function of hand cutting. 294 pp. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 002281
