Rare first printing. A tale of deep mystery and sustained thrill, involving a devilishly cunning Chinese mandarin and numerous weird goings-on at two houses on a lonely heath. Classic 1920s Yellow Peril stuff. Very good book in dramatically pictorial dustwrapper that's a bit grubby and that's missing three small pieces at the head and foot of the front panel, with a tiny closed tear at the head of the back panel. Also quite a bit of taping to the inside of the dustwrapper. Presents reasonably well in a newly supplied mylar cover. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 5102
