John Vanbrugh is best known as the designer of Blenheim Palace and Castle Howard. In his work as a dramatist he wrote two argumentative and outspoken Restoration comedies titled The Relapse and The Provoked Wife. In a full cloth binding with gilt stamping to spine and front board. Externally, very smart with rubbing and bumping to the spine, isolated to the head and tail. Minor rubbing to extremities. Minor fading and handling marks to top edge of both boards.
