A good+ copy of the first English hard cover edition, lacking the dust-jacket. The text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the black cloth binding with gilt lettering on the spine is still rather bright and fresh in appearance (see scan). Copyright page bears library number in pencil ( X'd out in pencil as well), and front endpaper shows evidence of the removal of a small library label, with several numerals in ink.
