Printed by George Grierson, Printer to the Kings Most Excellent Majesty. Pages [3], 4-53, [1]. 210x130mm. Disbound. Light browning to title and text, otherwise a very good copy with generous margins, and free from any library stamps, inscriptions or other markings. As it was intended principally for an Irish audience this very important speech was issued separately only in a Dublin edition. It is Pitt's most clear and eloquent statement of his determination to achieve a union between Great Britain and Ireland and is believed to be one of the very few speeches which he revised for individual publication. This pamphlet, paid for by money sent from London by the British government, was most likely printed in George Grierson's printing office at Rathfarnham House in Co. Dublin. Important and uncommon.
