Beschreibung
4pp. Light wear and stains. Else good. Mary Pollard was Deputy Keeper at Marsh's Library, Dublin from 1957 - 67. In and around the mid 1960's she started St. Sepulchre's Press and printed circa 50 different titles in the form of booklets, broadsides etc. Each item had a very small print run, usually about 50 copies, on occasion (as in the case of this item the print run was larger, but still very restricted). In the early days she got assistance and advice from Liam Miller of the Dolmen Press. In many ways the style of printing and presentation reflects this. A lot of the printings were apparently used for classes she taught at Trinity College Dublin, and number were offered for occasional sale. This small collection gives a flavour of the whole. There are two known full sets in institutional hands - one in the National Library, Dublin and another in Trinity College Library. Her capacity to continue with this project was restricted in the mid 1980's and printing ceased. This is an opportunity to secure a representative selection of her work which due to its origins, nature, and style is now very scarce. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 020880
