FINE book. Bright & attractive. Very tight. Immaculate inside, including the pastedowns and all three text block edges. FEP with tiped in slip: "with the compliments of the NEW YORK MONUMENTS COMMISSION". Brown cloth cover with a moire effect. Titles on spine & upper board, New York State seal on lower right upper board, all in bright as new gilt. Book with only minor flaws, those confined to the covers: (1) spine ends & tipss scuffed, upper tips lightly bumped. (2) spine faintly sunned. Binding tight, book tends to stay closed when stood on its spine. Seldom read, if at all. Most photos are of monuments and officers but there are a few of the fighting soldiers themselves.
