This is a complete four volume set with blue cloth covered boards, gilt decoration on the front boards, and gilt lettering and decoration on the spine. Volume 1 was published in 1928 and has 834 pages; Volume 2 book 1, 1930-viii, 647 pages; Volume 2 Book 2, 1930-viii, 614 pages; and Volume 3, 1932-X, 1081 pages. All books have blue end papers, intact gutters, and speckled top-part of the printing process-edges although the speckling is faded on Volume 1 and 2-2. Volume 1 has a bit of wear (loss of color) at the outer joint from what is assumed to be opening the front board. Volume 2 has a bit of soiling to the top edge. All four volumes have multiple black-and-white images throughout. These volumes are NOT X-Library, have no internal markings or previous owner's names. These volumes do have their dust jackets. They are peach colored with dark blue/black printing. There is some edge wear, small tears, rolling of the edges and light soiling to each dust wrapper. The jacket for Volume 3 appears to be a bit darker at the spine and folds than the other jackets, has some soiling to the fore edge and both Volume 3 and 2-1 have a stamped "F" in a circle on the verso side of the last white end paper . This set was published and printed in Italy and the text is in Italian. These books are heavy, about 20 pounds, and will require additional postage than is typically added to an order.
