A first edition and first impression with second state binding, without the flaking white ink on cover and spine. Original illustrated cloth boards with white lettering on the spine. Light wear and bumping to the extremities of the book. Light fading of the spine colour. Light marks on the rear board in the upper corner. Ink signature of previous owner dated 1903 on the lightly browned end papers.
