Artikelbeschreibung des Verkäufers

Hardcover in thin boards, with folding flap and wallet-like tucked tab. Faded olive green cloth with black lettering and pastedown illustration of the Fierce Rabbit on the front. The silver stamping of the buckle is faded. Some edgewear. No traditional title page, but title page information on the inside of the board. No date on the title page itself. Only the date 1906 on the inside of the front 'cover'. Printed on a single, accordian-style unfolding sheet of paper all on one side. The back side printed with a blue toned fabric pattern. There is a bit of wear at the folds, where the green printed borders are worn through to the white of the paper. There is also some slight wear to the bottom edge of those green borders on most page. Cracking to the paper on the inside of the folding covers. This copy has two bookplates tabbed in at the front - H. Bradley Martin (green, with eagle and globe design) and above that, Mildred Greenhill (sepia printed with elf seated on books). The top of that inside front cover page has handwritten inscription at the top, 'Jim from' but nothing else. 4.5 x 3.75 inches. The back cover is stamped 'Frederick Warne & Co * * * London and New York'. (the 2nd printing was stamped 'New York and London'. The Martin collection was auctioned at Sotheby's in Jan 1990. This book was a part of that sale. Please email for additional photos or to request photos.…
