Volume #1 in a 6-volume series by one of the fathers of modern football, this first print book is in slightly worn but still attractive and very presentable condition. The exterior has light general over-all wear, nothing serious at all. Four lightly bumped corners have no fabric tears, lightly bumped head and heel of the spine caused slight color loss but no fabric tears; spine is mildly faded (see photo) but with no noticeable wear on the gutter ridges. Other than an inked something (I cannot figure it out--it is 3/8" x 3/8") in the upper spine corner of the rear pastedown, the interior is clean, unmarked and unstained. Pages are quite supple, the hinges are tight and not damaged, the frontis + 3 is intact and there is a (1) at the end of the text. The bad: the FFEP has been ripped out, leaving a ragged piece of paper hugging the spine. Still, a quite nice volume with a graphic front cover applique. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers BMR-2019-4-5-1
