Beschreibung
Sweet Thursday, John Steinbeck, Viking Press, New York, clearly marked first edition with a first edition jacket that does not have any blurbs beneath the author s photograph. Price clipped. Other first edition points include title printed in red on the title page and printer listed as Colonial Press on the copyright page. Dust jacket is price clipped and shows some wear and small tears, especially near the spine. Also some discoloration due to aging. Beige cover shows some wear at both the top and bottom and a tiny piece of the beige cloth is worn away in the upper left of the front cover. With the exception of some yellowing of the pages because of their age, the interior of the book seems to be in excellent condition, tight and clean. This is a sequel to Cannery Row by one of America s greatest writers. He won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1940 for The Grapes of Wrath and the Nobel Prize for literature in 1962.
