No date. Circa 1942. Not in Worldcat. Stated First American Edition. Blue boards with white lettering on spine. Some smudging and rubbing to covers. Name & date in pen on top edge of text block and inside front cover. Text a little yellowed. Dust jacket badly worn along front fold, with small chips and tears at top & bottom edges. Price on front flap torn off. Tips of flaps clipped. Clear tape reinforcement on front and back of edges and folds. Rhodes served in the British Army during World War II and was involved in the retreat of the British Army from Dunkirk.
