Contrefaçon hollandaise publiée chez Janson la même année et reproduisant à l'identique la véritable première édition illustrée de Padoue. Johann Vesling (1598-1649) était professeur d'anatomie à l'université de Padoue. Le texte de cet ouvrage était initialement paru en 1641 sans illustrations, comme il arrivait encore parfois pour les livres d'anatomie à cette époque, mais sa version illustrée ut un grand succès et fut réimprimée à de nombreuses reprises. "La seconda edizione del suo Syntagma Anatomicum fu uno dei testi di anatomia piu ricercati, soprattutto per le tavole (la prima edizione usci senza illustrazioni), fra le piu corrette tra quelle fino ad allora pubblicate. Merito del Vesling fu la scoperta fdel tronco comune dei vasi lattei (linfatici) di quelli del mesenterio e di quelli dello stomaco" (Barbara Gentile). Notre contrefaçon, reconnaissable à quelques subtils détails, montre notamment que le piratage éditorial au 17e siècle n'était pas forcément limité à de petites structures plus ou moins clandestines mais qu'il pouvait aussi être pratiqué par de grands éditeurs pourvus d'un large réseau de distribution. Vingt-quatre belles planches gravées sur cuivre par Giovanni Georgi (c.1625-1670), comprises dans la pagination (sauf la dernière située après la page 274).
