He obtained his doctorate in 1892 with the presentation of a thesis on the Ocular Manifestations of Hysteria, and continued his career as a chief surgeon in Avignon and with various medical history projects. With seventeen engraved text illustrations depicting the tools and methods of this form of this 'cure.' Quarter red cloth over marbled paper, with a black leather label. Very Good binding.
