Original first issue dark red cloth with silver gilt to spine. Corners rubbed, spine a little faded and gilt worn in spots. Interior has owner inscript on first free ep, paper is tone but otherwise clean and unmarked. Jolly decorations by Clair Stewart. The book is a continuation of the Marchbanks chronicle, with cranky amusing essays on various aspects of daily life.
