The book is in good condition. Maroon boards in very good condition, no chips, stains, or tears. Inscription inside the first end paper. On page 26 a 1/4" edge tear. On page 35 a 1/2" edge tear, an inch edge tear page74, The last illustration has a corner tip triangular 3 1/2" tear top edge, could be glued or taped back, tear does not get into the illustration. A crack at page 66-67, toward the end of the book. String binding, presents very well. The crack isn't noticble unless you open it up on the back side of two illustrations 66-67 A lot of the first editions, first printings have tears, chips, corner bumps, and tears in the cloth, this book is really nice on the outside, no tears to the cloth.
