"The author's outings in 1884, 1886 and 1887 in the regions of Smith Lake, Albany Lake, Tupper's Inlet and others, with a fair amount of trout fishing incidents and a small amount of deer hunting, The author's Canadian sojourn in 1891 in the region of the north shore of Lake Nipissing, Ontario was recorded in diary form, describing briefly bass fishing in Trout Lake and deer hunting in the vicinity of Four Mile Bay."
