It is a compilation of a series of notes made on a trip which originally was planned as a vacation. This book the author states was written for pleasure and hopefully read for pleasure. Most of the material was first published, as a series of letters, in "The Kansas City Star". A very good copy bound in red cloth centrally stamped in gilt with lettering gilt, staining to lower corner of upper board, previous owner's inscription. shelf number in ink to spine, two very tiny nicks to edge of upper board.
