Translated from the German by Ralph Manheim. Long gift inscription on first blank preliminary page (dated Christmas 1963), additional former owner's name on preceeding page, otherwise unmarked, seemingly unread, tight, square, and clean. The unclipped dust jacket ($6.95), now in Mylar, is chipped with substantial loss at the bottom of the front panel and at the heel of the spine, and with small closed tears and an old tape repair at the head of the spine, else near fine.
