Rare avec le troisième volume, publié sous le titre "Traité des différences et des séries" en tant que suite du traité du calcul différentiel et qui y sera intégré lors de la seconde édition. Provenance : Ivor Grattan-Guiness (ex libris). Ivor Grattan-Guinness (1941-2014) était un historien des mathématiques et de la logique. Il a reçu en 2009 le Prix Kenneth O. May de la Commission internationale sur l'histoire des mathématiques.
