First Edition. Near fine excellent condition, clean , with spiral binding as issued. Includes all 12 colour raised plates as called for. This is the early 1952 state with bright gilt on marbled front board made of stiff card and no raised plate on front board as issued. Neat name of previous owner at the top of the front board. All the superbly produced raised plates are of black and mixed race South Africans and feature some of the artist's best work on South African subjects. Africana. Paperback. No dj.
