The author having just lost his seat in parliament in 1925 took a seven-month tour of Nigeria, the gold Coast and Sierra Leone then returned one more time to cross Africa from west to east from Lagos to Massawa, by way of Khartoum. Two Jowett Cars were used in this expedition, the author in one and Jack Sawyer in the other. The Book which runs to 271 pages plus Maps describes in very readable fashion the highs & lows encountered on these two African Journeys.
