The 1937 Architecture and Design issue features sepia-toned photographs of the Phillips Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, Charles Platt architect, Muddy River Parkway Boston, Mountain Lake Sanctuary, Mountain Lake, Florida, architects Zantzinger, Borie and Medary, residence of Frederick Law Olmsted, Palos Verdes, California, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted with architect Myron Hunt, Cold Spring Harbor, Long Island, English influence in landscape design, Glen Cove, Long Island, Popp Memorial Circle in City Park, New Orleans, both with all features by Olmsted Brothers, and many others. Photographs with credits of architects and photographers. Includes architectural plans and drawings. Laid in a printed Olmsted Brothers slip, one piece of folded photographic promotional material from Olmsted Brothers, and a b/w print of an architectural drawing (9x12") depicting the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. Both issues with pages of advertisements at rear. The 1958 issue with b/w photographs and architectural plans including the Cloisters and Fort Tyron Park, architects Allen and Collins, the Jefferson Memorial, architect John Russell Pope, the Nazareth Home for Children in Boston, architects Maginnis, Walsh and Kennedy, low rental state-aided housing project Waltham, Massachusetts, architect Aldo A. Minotti, the Patapsco Tunnel Project Baltimore, Maryland, J. E. Greiner Company, consulting engineer. Wraps of first volume with sunning along edges, light rubbing of wraps, in good-, interior in good+ condition, volume two with light wear along edges and spine missing for the most part.
