Hardcover. Zustand: Fine. 8vo (25 cm), VI, 48 pp, seven mounted type specimens at the end. Publisher's cloth backed boards, in a slipcase. The Cambridge University Press Christmas book for the year 1968. The book discusses the impact that two men had -- on each other, on the course of typographical history, on the people with whom they come into contact, and on the author. The royal octavo format suited the selected illustrations, including pages from books produced by Morison and Lewis in partnership -- or not produced in the case of the abortive Cambridge type catalogue. Printed using Barbou type, which than still existed only in the 'Énglish' size used in the last three volumes of The Fleron. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 005672
