First edition, first printing. Original purple cloth with gilt titles to the spine, in dustwrapper. A very good copy with no inscriptions and no stamps. Boards are clean and bright with only light rubbing to the extremities and a small brown mark to the bottom of the spine. The contents are entirely complete with no loose or torn pages and no inscriptions or stamps. Bottom edge of text block a little marked in places, otherwise the pages remain clean and bright. The original dustwrapper has a couple of closed tears with light chipping to the laminate and a lightly faded spine. Not price-clipped. A very scarce title in non-library state, and one of his best. Hardback - first edition - A fine book, very tightly bound in clean boards that are exceptionally clean and without bumping. Unfaded gilt lettering to the spine. Internally the pages are very clean with no marks or foxing. The book is free of any names or inscriptions. The d/w would be fine save for a couple of small closed tears to the front panel and slight rubbing to small areas of the corners of the front and rear flaps. No fading to the spine, and the wrapper is very fresh in appearence. Priced at £1.20: 24s.net to the front flap as called for. A grey line to the top edge (possibly a remainder mark) and a couple of minor bumps to the boards overall a VG copy in like D/W with partial fading to the spine which is now pink (as opposed to red). The D/W back panel has a minuscule chip from the bottom edge and a tiny rubbed mark to the top edge but is still a VG example Signed by the Author in his full name and as BB on the title page.
