Patterned brown cloth. Small 16mo. 209pp. Stone retells the story of the Pequot War from the point of view of two important Native American figures: Uncas, sachem of the Mohegan tribe, and Miantonomoh, sachem of the Narragansetts. Through their stories, Stone provides insight into early colonial relations with indigenous peoples. The covers are spotted and worn and the spine tips have some chipping. The text is worn with some heavy foxing and staining scattered throughout. The title page is creased at the right side.
