John Burton (1696 1771), a clergyman and scholar, wrote these three sermons on being a Christian, gentleman and scholar, before the University of Oxford at St. Mary's Church, on the inauguration of King George III. Now a very scarce work. Disbound but intact. Externally fairly smart, though age toned, with remnants of the binding to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good.
