Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Fair. 1st Edition. Unsentimental Journey, Nora Cundell. 1940. Methuen. 8vo. First edition, first printing of this story of an irresponsible journey made by a staid Englishwoman to the Wild West . Orange cloth with black titles to spine, in the very scarce original dust jacket. Illustrated by the author who, herself a very respected artist having studied at Blackheath and Westminster Technical Institute being taught by Walter Sickert, was the granddaughter of artist Henry Cundell. A nice example, very good in fair dust jacket, unclipped with publisher s updated price to front flap, with several small chips and rubbing to corners and tips, the front flap joint with a split and further chips, but holding fairly well despite the flaws. Cloth clean and bright, the binding tight and square. Textblock with a few light marks, but minor. Internally fine despite the light offsetting to the endpapers. An attractive example of a very scarce work. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 404122
