Illustrated with 176 photographs taken by Franck during his journey. 6.25'' x 9'', 612 pages. The book is in very good minus condition. The hinge is cracked at page 305 and at the rear hinge. Slight shelf wear to the spine, and very minor bumping and scuffing to the corners. The cover illustration is well-preserved, and the front board is unmarked. The rear board has a few black marks on it but is overall well-preserved. Three small marks on the spine, and the publisher's name is faded somewhat. The illustration at the top of the spine is well-preserved. A previous owner's signature in pen and a marking in pencil are present on the front endpaper. A marking in pencil is present on the rear pastedown. The binding is starting at the half-title page. The tissue paper is intact at the title page but has some slight offsetting. The text block is slightly toned but is bright, clean, and complete. The illustrations are well-preserved. There is slight staining on the back of a few of them but it does not affect the images or the text following them. Please view the many other rare titles available for purchase at our store.
