Attributed to Paltock by ODNB, who also wrote the Life and Adventures of Peter Wilkins, a Cornish man in 1751. The 'Monthly Review', in some six lines of condemnation, considers Virtue triumphant to have been written for the express entertainment of the kitchen, but no details given, and no copy of the book is accessible!.
