A Good 8vo hardcover in no dust jacket (if issued). The title page and preface reference the year "1971" but according to the publication page this book was "First Published 1972" and the author's copyright is also "1972". Ex-library with related treatments on the front and rear paste-downs, the publication page, and the pages' top and bottom edges. Damage to the covers may also be caused by removal of additional ex-library treatments. Aside from an ex-library label, the front paste-down has a small bookseller address label along the bottom edge near the hinge. The front matters [12 pp.] and remaining contents (138 pp., including a bibliography and index) also have some underlining, margin marks, and brief marginalia. Still, most pages are mark-free and the entire book remains fully legible, complete and securely bound. Red covers with black lettering. Chip (of up to one-half inch) at the head of the spine and a surface scuff or blemish (one inch by one-and-one-quarter inch tall) in the upper spine corner of the upper board. Other wear to the covers includes a bit of light soiling.
