1st thus 1914. Almost very good condition with no wrapper. Faithfully reproduced from the original manuscript. Edited by Timothy Lewis. Limited Edition of 300. Large format. Red cloth boards, gilt title to spine and vignette to front. Brown flower patterned endpapers. Introduction in English, recipes etc in Welsh. Boards damp stained. Corners rubbed and worn. Joints a little weak and starting to crack. Damp staining to pastedowns. Text block browned. Scattered foxing throughout. Joints pulled but binding is generally tight. Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. 1st Edition. EARLY WELSH MEDICINE, with a letter from author. First edition, in red half morocco over maroon gilt printed cloth, gilt tooling & image, corners brushed. Spine, raised bands, decorative gilt tooling & titles, edges rubbed. Internally, half title, frontis, [4], (vi-xxii), [2], [1], 2-136 pp, 5 pls (B&W full page), t.e.g., marbled endpapers, with an ALS from the editor to Edward Owen describing this work with a receipt for this copy, ink name to fep (Jones). (250*189 mm). Only 22 copies were issued, this being number 16. Apparently even the editor had to buy copies back from subscribers to supply copies. This is one of the copies on fine hand made papers, there were also copies on rag paper. The original MS. was attributed to Sir Thomas Williams. 1550?-1620. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 007734
