A remarkably fine copy of the 1912 first edition, second printing (first printing 1906). The handsome pictorial gilt cloth hardback binding is in very fine, almost unused condition. 75 excellent coloured plates with the titles on the tissue guards. 280-page text (top edges brightly gilt) in very good+ condition, with just a little trivial age-browning around the edge of the text-block and last couple of leaves of the index.
