Published January 1, 1939. Tan cloth stamped in gold and green. faded Green topstain. A couple of tiny fray hairs at foot and crown of backstrip. Tiny loss of cloth at the corner tip of front panel as well as from the base of backstrip. Cloth is thinning at points on the cloth panel. DJ has been price clipped. Not a 1st issue DJ as this DJ has been married to the first printing. The difference between this DJ and the original 1st issue DJ is the rear panel. DJ front is identical. DJ is bright and attractive with only minor edgewear and light soiling to rear. 1 small closed edge tear. A nice copy with interesting notes and insights by a noted Faulkner scholar.
