He wrote broadly on Welsh natural history.Two volumes bound as one, 'Wales and the Sea Fisheries' and 'The Brown and Black Rat in Wales'.Each is complete with the original wraps bound in.With illustrations throughout the text, including a folding map.From the library of Leonard Harrison Matthews, a British zoologist known for his work on marine mammals. He was a Fellow of the Royal Society and a prolific author. Harrison Matthews later edited the 'Animals of Britain' series, which featured Matheson's writings. In a full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; with a homemade spine label and bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed.
