Very scarce work.Written by Russian Soviet children's author, Oleg Nikolaevich Tikhomirov, who was best known for his stories surrounding Moscow and nature. This particular story surrounds the history of the Ancient Kremlin, presenting six double page pop-ups, with a corresponding text to describe each one. The pop-up illustrations highlight a different aspect of the Kremlin. Illustrations by Evgeny Mikhailovich Egorov. Written in Russian, with a print out of the English translation of the work, divided into the six images. Bound in the publisher's original pictorial wraps. Externally very good, with light creasing to the spine and boards, with light marks. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd handling mark.
