Reprint from April 1944 which is the same month in which the first printing appeared. The book has some slight fading to the edges of the boards and very light corner bumping. Browning to the page edges with some scattered spotting to the fore edges. Light browning to the endpapers but otherwise the pages are clean and unmarked. The jacket is categorised as 'poor' but has been scrubbed up well by the previous owner who has put it in a protective sleeve and looks quite good at a first glance. There is however an inch and a half piece missing from the base of the spine and some more chipping at the top of the spine. In addition there is insect damage and consequent fraying up the side of the rear panel next to the spine and down the other edge as well along the edge of the rear flap. It is also slightly ragged in places along the top edge. Brown spotting to the front flap. Extremely rare to find this title in a jacket however. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 006149
