Brown leather on boards with gilt lettering, decoration and banding to spine. The front board is detached, but present. All parts of the covers are badly worn, with show-through at the corners. I believe there may have been a main title page, with frontis, but this is not present, the text commencing immediately after a blank free page, with the first weekly edition within the volume, for Saturday, August 15, 1767. The last edition is for Saturday, December 26, 1767. The volume starts on page 513 and continues to page 832. The latter part of the volume is taken up with 'An Historical Detail of the most remarkable Publick Occurrences; and the newest Political Intelligence' in sections of two weeks each, from Friday December 26, 1766 Friday December 25, 1767. This section starts at page 1 and continues to page 208. The weekly magazine contains articles, some continuing from week to week, mainly of religious and political subjects, together with accounts of historical religious dignitaries such as Stephen Gardiner, Bishop of Winchester, etc., and a section of poetry. The later 'Intelligence' sections deal with news items from around the world, and the United Kingdom, plus lists of births, marriages and deaths, promotions and Bankrupts! The volume contains three black and white plates. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 000362
