No date; circa 1904. Rare material; out-of-print. Dark blue coated-cloth pictorial boards, gilt embossed cover titles and design, moderate shelf wear, rub; protected in clear sleeve. Front cover depicts bold gold titles with colored design of soldier on horseback. Thick heavy stock leaves generally fair w/varying discoloration throughout. Antiquarian name pencilled at front endpaper: "Fred G. Bosc, 86 Sidney Rd., Woodford Halse." Smooth dark maroon endpapers. String-bind good, few areas starting. Fairly solid example of this classic Rackham enhanced volume. Features Arthur Rackham's artistry with six color plates; one being a tipped-in color facsimile of original. One of the earliest books to feature Rackham's work and notably, not present in many of his bibliographies.
