Originally articles written for the newspapers, Synge rewrote them for this book, unfortunately not published in his lifetime.This is a Very Good Plus to Near Fine copy of the First Edition. Olive-brown paper-covered boards with a vellum spine, gilt lettering. Fore-edge deckled, top is gilt. Clean text; 136 pages. This is an ASSOCIATION COPY, with the bookplate of the Irish poet Lettice D'Oyly Walters (author of "Irish Poets of Today," 1920) on the front paste-down.
