There are several photographs of a young author, Shakoor Khan, with his tigers in this book, and a portrait of himself in an advanced age, judging from these one can determine that he is telling the shikar yarns based on his lifelong experience of hunting mainly tigers in the Indian jungles when tigers were plenty. This book was printed and bound in India in an old government press in Jaipur, most likely with a small print run, as there are no listing for this book anywhere. The simulated leather binding looks new, and so are the photo plates. The text itself shows light tanning. No other editions are issued as the author is long gone to the Happy Hunting Grounds. Received the book with back pastedown reinstated cleanly for firmness. I. consider this book is valuable due to its extreme scarcity, from my personal collection, unread, 206 pages.
