He was stationed in Burma during the Second World War where he was killed in action aged 54 in 1942. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally generally smart; a mark to the top corner of the front board, and some bumping to the extremities and the head and tail of the spine. Ownership bookplate to the front pastedown.
