In the original publisher's quarter vellum binding over marbled boards. Externally sound with shelf wear, spine darkened, boards lightly bumped and chipped to extremities. Internally, firmly bound. A very good minus, essentially clean, tight copy in original publisher's green cloth - gilt embossed to the spine and to the front board. No inscriptions. 15 of 16 colour plates to include the frontispiece as called for (missing the plate opposite page 25, 'The Evening Flight', and all the numerous b/w plates - all as called for. Some spotting to the fore-edges (hardly affecting the margins of the pages - if at all) and much less so to the endpapers. A little light soiling to the tail of the rear board.
