The introduction is a life of Bacon by an unnamed writer. Useful rebinder. I have eight others of the set, lacking only volume 8, spines generally much worn, bindings otherwise sound, text blocks all tight and clear of foxing. No inscriptions or library marks. All available at same price as volume 1, as a lot or separately. The images show the bindings of the set, which need attention, and also how clean they are internally - pictures show typical condition of pages throughout. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
