A continuation of the adventures of his earlier work The Arctic Stowaways (1917). Aimed primarily at younger readers,the action is set in the harsh and unforgiving environment of the Arctic, and includes a mutinous bolshevik crew, whaling hunts, and eskimos. The story combines themes of survival, exploration, and resourcefulness against the backdrop of the Arctic wilderness. Dillon Wallace (1863 - 1939) was an American author known for his adventure novels and non-fiction works based on his experiences in Labrador. Wallace wrote both fiction and non-fiction, including travel accounts, boys' adventure novels, and biographies.
