Photographs of the Great Patriotic War (World War II) by Soviet war photographer Mikhail Trakhman, with accompanying text by various poets compiled by Andrey Voznesensky. (Two photographs are noted as coming from Fascist newsreels.) Printing of 10,000. According to the Historical Dictionary of War Journalism Trakhman "worked as a documentary film cameraman from 1934 to 1939 before joining the Soviet Information Bureau as a photographer-reporter from 1939 to 1941. He became a war reporter-photographer with the Red Army and TASS in 1941. His photographs capture the lives of guerilla fighters and civilians behind the enemy lines.".
