Collated, complete.An uncommon edition of this lovely children's book from the late nineteenth century.William James Affleck Shepherd was an English illustrator and cartoonist.Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper from 1898. In the original publisher's quarter cloth binding and paper covered boards. Externally, sound. There is some bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. There is some wear to the boards and light age toning. The hinges are loose. Prior owner's ink inscription to the first free endpaper from 1898. Internally, loosely bound.
