A Zoo In My Luggage, Gerald Durrell, Rupert Hart-Davis, 1960, First Edition, First Impression The story of Durrell's third trip to the British Cameroons in West Africa, during which he and his wife capture animals to start their own zoo. The book is illustrated throughout by Ralph Thompson. In near fine condition, the binding is straight and tight, the boards clean and the lettering on the spine bright. There is a crease mark to the bottom corner of the front board and the top corner of the back board. The end papers and pages are free from tears and inscriptions. There are two small marks to the fore edge and a small crease mark to the top corner of the front end paper. The unclipped dust jacket, protected in a clear, removable cover is in good condition with loss to the top corner of the front cover, two small nicks to the top edge of the front cover, a small nick to the bottom edge of the front cover, loss to the top and bottom edges of the slightly darkened spine, two tears to the top edge of the back cover, a tear to the bottom corner of the back cover and marks to the back cover.
