Descriptions for each Order include anatomy and physiology, behavior, systematics of genera and species, geographic distribution (with maps), and more. These volumes provide handy information for zoologists, environmentalists, and sporting enthusiasts. Lengthy indexes to common names and taxonomic names are found at the rear of each volume. ***CONDITION: The volumes are fully complete, near-Fine and bound in the original blue cloth, with gilt lettering on the front covers and spines. The covers and backstrips are well preserved, with only mild rubbing to the extremities. Gilt lettering bold and bright. Joints and hinges solid, bindings very firm. The only evidence of previous ownership is a discrete signature on a front endpaper of each volume. This is a sound, handsome copy of a scarce treatise.
